Genesis Of A Looped DayDream
Music holds a quintessential yet often understated place in most of our lives. The word itself stems from the muses of Apollo, the inspirations of a god. So whether you’re an established poet, a clerk at a department store, the leader of a nation, or two young men in their late teens coming into their maturity and obtaining their view of the world, music has shaped a part of your life. For us, the two young men, music or more specifically hip-hop is life. It’s inescapable, which is perfectly fine because we wouldn’t want to. We not only want to embrace it, but dream of playing a part in molding the culture. In this recurring dream hip-hop stays true to the art it is. Expression isn’t pimped for higher levels of living. Visions aren’t clouded to better fit the commercial audience. Emcee success isn’t determined by publicity stunts. Because all of that brings about the nightmarish diminishing of something that is in it’s very essence a cathartic piece of art. Hopefully this blog serves as a start to making these looped daydreams into a reality for us and our audience.
